Raised in East Los Angeles, Gilbert Moret attended East Los Angeles Community College, Whittier College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Southern California where he received his law degree in 1965.

Combining a busy law practice, active participation in numerous non-profit community organizations, including past Chairman and current Ambassador of Hispanics for Los Angeles Opera, with a career as a singer, has distinguished the life of Moret who through his singing and other related activities raises funds that benefit community based organizations.
His talents as a singer and performer have gained him popular appeal for his ingratiating and natural stage persona and style. Through the years he dedicated himself to the study of music and the development of his vocal technique so as to demonstrate a wide versatility in different styles of music, including Mexican Ranchera, Boleros, American Standards, Broadway Musicals, Zarzuela and Opera. For the past several years, Mr. Moret has been invited to sing the national anthems of both the United States and Mexico at the official Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Independence Day ceremonies in Los Angeles.
Moret has recorded and released three albums, “The Christmas Album” (Classic Christmas Melodies) “What Is This Thing Called Love” (Popular American Standards) and “Enamorado De Ti”(Boleros).
